Croquet is a sport that rewards tactics, accuracy and precision. It can be played by people of all ages and abilities.
Croquet is played on a 32 x 25.6 metre flat grass lawn, with six hoops and a peg set permanently into the ground. The game is played with four balls weighing approximately 450 grams each, and players attempt to strike these balls through the hoops in a sequence using a mallet. The sport can be played in singles and doubles, and uses a handicapping system to ensure that players of any ability can compete against one another.
