At the Annual General Meeting of Croquet New Zealand (CNZ), held in Wellington on Saturday 7 October, CNZ Members voted in favour of granting Aaron Westerby Life Membership of Croquet New Zealand.
The Life Membership recognises Aaron’s contribution to croquet in New Zealand, be it as a player, as an administrator or as the go-to person for anything IT related.
Since first picking up a mallet Aaron has won several national and international titles including the NZ Open Singles and Doubles events, the Trans-Tasman AC Test series on several occasions and most famously the MacRobertson Shield in 2014, when Aaron captained the team.
Aaron has been a member of several CNZ committees and the CNZ Executive over the last 15 years, and currently is the convener of the AC Selection Committee. In addition, Aaron is the brain and driving force behind the CNZ database and the CNZ website.
Congratulations Aaron!
