Over two years ago, Croquet New Zealand began the journey to review and update their Constitution. Over this period, a lot of time and effort has gone into making sure the new Constitution met the future needs of Croquet New Zealand and ensuring the process was collaborative.
The new constitution and what it should include was discussed at the 2018 and 2019 AGM to help set the platform for the Constitution re-write Committee to develop the new document.
At the 2020 Croquet New Zealand Annual General Meeting, a remit was proposed to adopt the new Constitution. Following some discussion and a few minor changes, the remit was passed unanimously.
Following the Council’s approval, it was submitted to the Incorporated Societies Registrar and was registered on the 14th of October 2020, taking effect from this date.
The new Constitution can be found here.
Croquet New Zealand would like to thank everyone that has contributed to the development of this document, in particular the Constitution re-write Committee (Phyllis Young, Geoff Young, Graeme Roberts, Grant Poulton, Jake Inwood and Kathie Grant).
