CNZ Women’s GC Tournament:
With Auckland at Alert Level 4 and the rest of New Zealand at Alert Level 3, Croquet New Zealand has made the decision to postpone the Women’s GC Tournament which was scheduled to be held on the 2nd and 3rd of October at Croquet Mt Maunganui.
This decision is in line with the 2021-22 Tournament Guidelines and provides players with 4 weeks notice prior to the tournament.
Croquet New Zealand appreciate this will be very disappointing news to receive for those wanting to compete, particularly after Covid-19 resulted in the 2020-21 Women’s GC Tournament being cancelled. However, the safety of all participants (players, officials, volunteers and spectators) is of utmost importance to Croquet New Zealand.
Croquet New Zealand is currently exploring the possibility of whether this event could be re-scheduled for later in the season or not.
Another update will be provided next week.
2021-22 Tournament Guidelines Updated:
The 2021-22 Tournament Guidelines have been updated to clarify what occurs if New Zealand is in Alert Level 2 or higher when the date for a decision (4-weeks before the tournaments start date) is reached.
The tournament is automatically postponed and CNZ will announce whether it is able to be re-scheduled or whether it is cancelled as soon as possible.
