Entries | Allocation date: Friday 21st November 2025 Closing date: Monday 15th December 2025Entries may be limited due to the number of lawns available. When this occurs, entries received prior to the allocation date will be accepted with priority being given to the highest ranked players registered. Entries will be accepted in order of receipt between allocation date and entries closing for any available places. Register online here. |
Entry Fees | Event 1: $150 includes entry to events 1(a), 1(b) & 1(c). Event 2: $60 per player |

Club House | The daily player Club House fee that is paid to the host venue has been included in the entry fee. There will be no refund if the player leaves early. |
Events
1. Singles: Format will depend on number of entries. The format, to be approved by the CNZ Tournament Committee, will lead to a knockout. Each knockout match will be played as best-of-three games, except that the manager may choose to play best-of-five matches from the semi-finals onwards. Challenge Cup presented by J.W. Lill and the Rene Watkins Gold Medal to be held for one year.

1(a). Bowl: For first round losers of the main knockout. Losers from the Bowl’s first round will enter a Z knockout. The Bowl replaces the Bronze Medal event played in the past.

1(b). Shield: For losing Quarter finalists of the main knockout.

1(c). Heenan Plate: All players entered in event 1 who do not qualify for the Open Singles Knockout are eligible to enter the Heenan Plate. Trophy presented by A.D.J. Heenan, OBE.

2. Doubles: Format will depend on number of entries. The format will lead to a knockout. Winners will receive the Paul Skinley Trophies.

2(a). Doubles Plate: Open to pairs in event 2 that have not qualified for the main doubles knockout. Format will depend on the number of entries.

3. All players with a New Zealand handicap of 0 or higher will be automatically considered for the Charles Jones Memorial Encouragement Salver. The Salver will be awarded to the player with the best record in the handicap range as determined by the Tournament Management Committee. Trophy presented by Alison McMillan.

Conditions
- Refer to Tournament Regulations Appendix 5 for Tier 1 playing conditions & hoop dimensions.
- Refer to Tournament Regulations Appendix 1 (a) for seeding processes and method of playing the event.
- As many entries will be accepted as possible but entries may be limited to ensure a workable format or if the number of players per available lawns is exceeded. With the exception of finals matches, double banking is to be expected.
- The Doubles will be played on the first three days. The Singles will commence on day four.
- To provide continuity of play for all, players in each of the singles knockouts are expected to play through the semi-final stage. Players knocked out at this stage may choose not to play on.
- Information on the playing schedule and other issues will be posted on Croquet Scores after entries have closed. The Manager will provide players with an outline of the method after entries close.
- Players Choice method of seeding will be used to seed the singles knockout so long as there are at least 16 players in the knockout.
