Last night, the Government announced that New Zealand would be increasing the Covid-19 Alert Levels from 11.59pm on Sunday, 14th February. With Auckland moving to Alert Level 3 and the rest of New Zealand moving to Alert Level 2.
The increase in Alert Levels will initially run until midnight on Wednesday, 17th February. These settings will be reviewed daily.
The 2020-21 Tournament Guidelines were developed based on player feedback to give everyone certainty around what would happen with CNZ Tournaments. One key aspect was ensuring NZ was in Alert Level 1 4 weeks out from the beginning of a tournament. This increase in Alert Levels will initially impact the following tournaments;
– Women’s AC Invitation
– Arthur Ross Memorial Final
– All other AC Invitations
As this is a very fluid situation, with daily reviews, CNZ has delayed any decisions on the above tournaments until this Thursday, 18th February 2021.
If you are participating in any of the above tournaments and have any questions, please contact the National Office on (04) 916 0258.
The announcement for players being invited to participate in the 2020-21 GC Invitations has also been delayed until Thursday, 18th February.
