This photo was taken by Willy Ransfield of Design Studio who made the scoreboards. He framed it and donated it with the instructions that it be auctioned at the Presentation Dinner with the proceeds to go to Cranford Hospice. The winning bid was from the Heretaunga Croquet Club for $750.

Australian Open Results

New Zealand’s Jenny Clarke crossed the ditch and came away with the Australian AC Open Singles and Open Doubles titles.

For the first time in 60 years, the Australian AC Singles final was an all female match.  Clarke beat Australian Alison Sharpe 3-1 (22-26, 26-14, 26-0, 26-20) in the best of 5 final to claim the title, her second Australian Open Singles title.

Clarke and Trevor Bassett had earlier won the doubles title.  Beating Sharpe and Jim Nicholls 2-0 (26-24, 16-5) in the best of 3 final.
