The 2021-22 Tournament Guidelines require the entire Island, either North or South, to be in Covid-19 Alert Level 1 at least 3 weeks prior to the start of the event for the respective Island Championships to be contested.
Unfortunately, due to most of the country remaining in Covid-19 Alert Level 2, and parts of the North Island remaining in Covid-19 Alert Level 3, the North Island AC Championships and South Island AC Championships have both been cancelled.
Individuals who have entered are entitled to a refund as set out in the 2021-22 Tournament Guidelines which can be found here.
While this will understandably be disappointing for those who were excited to play in these Championships, the safety of all participants is paramount.
