The New Zealand team for the 2020 Golf Croquet World Teams Championship has been selected and includes:

Edmund Fordyce (Canterbury)
Josh Freeth (Auckland)
Manager – Phillip Drew (Auckland)
Reserve -George Coulter (Bay of Plenty)
Youth and experience are prominent features of the team selected to defend the title won in 2016.
With an average age of 23 years old, there is no lack of experience. Each member of the team have won the WCF U21 GC World Championship, with Fordyce claiming the most recent title in July 2019. Two members, Freeth (2019) and Webby (2017), have won bronze at the GC World Championship. The team also boasts an impressive 11 National Titles between them since 2008 (Dixon – 8, Fordyce – 2 and Webby – 1).
The 2020 Golf Croquet World Teams Championship will be contested at the Nelson-Hinemoa Croquet Club in Nelson from 6 -12 January 2020.
The teams involved are: Australia, Egypt, England, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden and the United States.
