| Club House | Any clubhouse fee, up to $5 per day, will be charged to all competing players only for the days present. |
Winner will hold the Gordon Smith Trophy, presented by Gordon Smith, for one year.

Conditions
- Selection by invitation of up to 10 players.
- The method of play will be best of 3 matches, single round robin.
- A badge will be presented to a first-time winner and badges to first-time competitors in any CNZ Invitation.
- Nominal hoop dimensions will be set at the largest ball plus 1/32nd of an inch with an upwards tolerance of zero and a downward tolerance of 1/64th of an inch.
- Games may be double banked.
- Quadway hoops will be used.
- Optional promotion to the Second GC Invitation is possible should there be withdrawals from that event.
- Entrants will be invited to participate in the CNZ High Performance Programme (HPP) with coaching support.
